Industry
Commercial decisions have to work in practice. I bring that perspective to understanding a client’s objectives, weighing the available options and agreeing a workable course of action.

Industry experience, public-policy work and professional study inform the way I approach property — with attention to the evidence and the people involved.
The person behind the instruction
I am Senior Partner at Cox & Walsh, with responsibility for Sales and Valuations. My work centres on understanding the instruction, examining the evidence and explaining the reasoning in plain language.
My experience in industry and public policy, alongside professional diplomas and study in property services, forms the basis of my approach. It informs how I consider commercial decisions, the people affected by them and the importance of a clear process.
Journalism and communications are also part of my background. They have shaped how I ask questions, prepare property particulars and explain complex subjects.
My philosophy is straightforward: honesty is the best policy in property. Advice should help you make a sound decision, even when the figure supported by the evidence is less than you hoped to hear.
Qualifications and professional study
Adv. Cert. Property Services · DADR · DFM · DIJ · Cert. Com.
The relevance of experience lies in how it helps with the work in front of us.
Commercial decisions have to work in practice. I bring that perspective to understanding a client’s objectives, weighing the available options and agreeing a workable course of action.
Property decisions sit within a wider context. My public-policy experience informs an awareness of the rules, institutions and individual circumstances that can shape an instruction.
Professional diplomas and property-services study provide a foundation for structured work. That means testing assumptions, following the evidence and recognising the limits of an instruction.
A personal commitment
When you ask me to act, you should know what work has been agreed, how it will be approached and what it will cost.
I will give you clear advice, explain the evidence behind my recommendations and keep you informed at the stages we agree. I will not inflate a suggested selling price to win your instruction. Where something needs further investigation or falls outside my expertise, I will say so.
When I act for you as vendor, my responsibility is to look after your interests and work diligently for the best price the market can reasonably deliver. We work in partnership: agree a realistic timeframe, consider the offers carefully and decide together when patience is justified and when the evidence calls for a change of approach.
If you have a concern about the service you receive, you can raise it directly with me. I will listen, consider it carefully and work with you to address it fairly.
That is a commitment to the care and attention I bring to the work. It is not a promise of a particular sale price, timescale or legal outcome.
