Try fast, fail fast, keep trying and never give up. It is hard to hit the nail on the head your very first try, and depending on how high you are aiming, it might be next to impossible, but there is always that chance. This is why winners try fast, fail fast, keep trying and most importantly never give up. There are many things that you don’t know how to do and trial and error is the best way to learn knew skills and gain invaluable experience. We're all human, and that means we are equally gifted and hindered in many different ways. The thing to remember is to never say never, because above all, we are adaptable.
You can learn much faster by trying faster and failing more times in a shorter period, as Reid Hoffman said "If you're going to fail, fail fast, and move onto the next thing."
You learn at a slower pace when you are too slow to take action, or admit you've failed. When you make the decision to try fast, you will learn at a faster rate and know what things work and what things don’t work. This is how you gain experience. Through action, not inaction.
You can make the necessary adjustments along the way to make things right and move closer to your goals, just because you start off in the wrong direction doesn't mean you have to continue that way. Adaptability is the corner stone of the entrepreneurial spirit. If you are slow to take action, you jeopardize the everything you are trying to achieve and reduc eyour potential to progress.
You will face lots of frustrations during your learning process. However, don’t give up. Keep on trying out new ideas that you have picked up. Keep doing those that work and kick away ideas that don’t work. Most of them won't work initially. I used to have a terrible habit of trying to bend my environment to suit the road I was on, it took me a few years to realize that you are fully in control of the trail you blaze. If something isn't working, or is stunting your growth, kick it to the side, and get onto the winning path.
There is a short cut to this process. Get yourself a mentor or a coach. Someone who has been there before. Remember, you're going to have to go through it all regardless. but sometimes it can be easier with the right guidance and direction. Whether you want to lose weight or start your own business, a mentor who has been there can help you move faster towards your goal, not just by pointing out the stumbling blocks along the way, but by letting you fall, and being there to help pick you up, and get you back on track.
Since they had already reached where you want to be, they will know about the challenges that you will face and what will work for you. Borrow their knowledge and you will achieve your goals in a much shorter amount of time. All be it, no less of a roller-coaster ride to get there.
If you decide to make a difference to your life, consider this: Do I just want to change my own life? That's a pretty easy goal to loose sight of. However, if you decide that you want to change the world. Well that my friends is something you're much less likely to stray away from.
